How to Navigate the New Pennsylvania “Mini-COBRA” Legislation - Lunch 'n Learn
Description:
Recent state legislation requires Pennsylvania employers with 19 employees or less to offer and administer mini-COBRA to employees who leave their jobs (involuntarily or voluntarily) and to dependents who lose coverage due to divorce or loss of eligible dependent student status. In addition, the Federal COBRA subsidy may apply in situations of “involuntary termination”.
During this briefing we will:
Outline the requirements of employers, including mandatory notices
Discuss the obligations of employees electing the continuation coverage
Review the Federal COBRA Subsidy Legislation
Explain what small employers need to do to comply with the Subsidy rules
