Avoiding Harassment in the Workplace Training

Several Supreme Court decisions tell employers that they must take preventative steps to avoid liability for unlawful harassment claims. Courts have repeatedly awarded punitive damages in unlawful harassment cases where the employer failed to provide harassment training.

MEA offers two seminars to help you create environments free from harassment, avoiding potential litigation.  In most cases, organizations choose to train their employees in a one-hour sessions, and train managers/supervisors in a separate one-and-a-half hour session.

 Training Objectives:

  • Identify harassment in the workplace today
  • Recognize the legally protected classes
  • Understand policy, enforcement and discipline
  • Implement preventive measures to avoid harassment
  • Understand the additional legal responsibilities and obligations of supervisors/managers
  1. Employees – During this one-hour seminar, employees are offered assistance in understanding how their behavior may impact fellow colleagues, and what constitutes (harassment?) unlawful discriminatory practices.

  2. Supervisors/Managers – This one and a half-hour program provide supervisors and managers with the awareness and knowledge they need to successfully identify and manage workplace harassment issues.
