COMPENSATION SERVICES
MEA provides complete and comprehensive compensation services. We provide the client with all the information necessary to administer a fair and equitable compensation structure. Position Descriptions
MEA will provide completed job descriptions meeting all of the required standards. This process may be completed by either the client or MEA professionals through the completion of a job description questionnaire and individual interviews with the appropriate individual(s). In the event that a client may be experiencing future growth or revisions to the current job descriptions, the client may purchase the software, Descriptions Now!, for future updates or revisions.
Position Evaluation & Market Pricing
Upon completion of the development of position descriptions (or receipt of job descriptions from the client), MEA will complete the position evaluation process through the use of the Employers Association, Inc. Job Evaluation Plan or the National Position Evaluation Plan. These point factor systems provide the client with a report valuing the positions and assigning pay/labor grades. MEA also develops market-pricing reports for clients. By completing market-pricing analysis a client is able to adjust their salary structures to meet the needs of the market as driven by the current salaries being offered.
Salary Structure Administration Program Development
MEA will work with the client to develop a fair, equitable and competitive salary structure through the use of market-pricing analysis and information gained through the job evaluation process. In addition, MEA develops a full salary administration program, and our consultants provide training on the understanding and use of the program.
Compensation Surveys
To determine labor market conditions, MEA designs, conducts and publishes a wide variety of wage and salary surveys. The surveys provide the most current and comprehensive data available in the Mid-Atlantic region. This is the region's single best tool for creating a reference point to evaluate a competitive market-pricing strategy for a company's wages and salaries. In addition to the above services, MEA is also available to work with the client to develop Incentive Programs and Performance Management Programs that compliment the client's Compensation Program. This service includes development of the process, the Performance Appraisal document and the training necessary to introduce the organization to the program.
