New Jersey (finally) releases paid sick leave law notice
The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) has released on its website the required notice that must be posted and distributed to all New Jersey employees under the New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Law.
You can find the notice on the NJDOL’s website: https://www.state.nj.us/labor/forms_pdfs/mw565sickleaveposter.pdf
Employers with employees working in New Jersey must post the notice in a conspicuous place accessible to all employees in each of the employer’s workplaces as soon as possible. According to recently proposed regulations, the notice also can be posted electronically on “an internet site or intranet site” if the employer has such a site “for exclusive use by its employees and to which all employees have access.” For employees hired after the notice is issued, employers must provide them with a copy of the notice at the time of hiring. In addition, employers must provide a copy of the notice the first time an employee requests a copy. The notice must be posted and distributed in any language that the employer believes is the first language of a majority of its workforce. The NJDOL website released the notice in English and twelve additional languages, including Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic.
