Healthcare Reform Support
MEA has partnered with Trinity Benefit Advisors to offer a special employee benefits and membership savings program. This program is ideal for employers that are wrestling with the dramatic changes brought on by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The passage of landmark Health Care Reform legislation has created more confusion and concern in the employer community than perhaps at any other time in recent history, and sometimes it’s difficult to differentiate fact from fiction. MEA is committed to providing our Members with timely, accurate information as soon as it becomes available through guidance from the IRS, Department of Labor, the Health & Human Services Secretary and other government agencies. Customized Plan Analysis
Should you be fully insured, use an HSA, HRA or defined contribution plan? Are you an Applicable Large Employer or a Small Employer under the Healthcare Reform Guidelines? Are you part of a control group? Do you have employee classification issues? Have you done a cost benefit analysis of self funding or a private exchange? There are so many options to consider and decisions to make. Trinity Benefit Advisors will provide MEA Members with a complimentary customized cost benefit analysis of their current benefit programs to determine the value of their current plan offerings. They will also meet to review available options and discuss the impact of the ACA so you can make fully informed decisions.
Free COBRA Administration
Trinity Benefit Advisors is pleased to provide free COBRA administration for MEA Members.
MEA Membership Credit
MEA Members that use the benefit brokerage services of MEA and Trinity receive a 50% credit towards their annual Membership fee.
Payroll Deduction Analysis and Advice
Under the ACA, employers with less than 50 employees must now determine the cost of insurance based upon the demographic information for each employee and their family resulting in unique insurance costs per employee. This will expand to employers with less than 100 employees in 2016. Trinity Benefit Advisors will review your current payroll deductions and projections under the ACA and make recommendations based on your cost structure, industry, personnel, history and plan offerings. This will allow you to be confident that the costs are being shared fairly between you and your employees.
Customized Benefit Statements and Annual Open Enrollment Meetings
We take away this burden and provide employees with valuable information and advice.
Section 125 Review and Compliance
Small employers often fail the testing and documentation requirements for Section 125 plans which all employers offering employee benefit plans must comply with for IRS purposes.
